Shut up about A Quiet Place already. We all know it’s great blah3x. We intentionally left out very recent mega-blockbuster picks or else this site wouldn’t make sense, with what the hundreds of better-written movie blogs out there already. We love us some sci-fi horror, more specifically when it’s about extraterrestrials. We’ve decided to round up the best ones from the past which really gave us the chills. Some did poorly in the box-office, some were rated unfairly. So we decided to put up this list and let you be the judge. Here’s our Top List Of Great UFO Horror Movies That Were Poorly Rated.

A newlywed couple decides to celebrate their honeymoon in a more outdoorsy fashion. All is fine at the start and everything seems to be perfect, until one night Paul sees Bea gone in bed and finds her in the woods alone by herself. She starts behaving really strangely after that night and exhibits some very bizarre symptoms. What happened in the woods will start to unravel as Paul discovers more and more.
Alien abductions are treated very lightly by the authorities and it’s very rare that it looked into very seriously, if at all. The expert UFO investigators see certain common and specific patterns in Alaskan abductions which they cannot explain. As they go deeper and deeper into the facts of the case, the occurrences are becoming much more pronounced and are getting stronger and stronger. The way the scares and scenes are done in this film is out of this world, so to speak (no pun intended).
4. Signs (2002)
This very underrated but brilliant UFO horror was just way ahead of its time. It was also during this time that audiences were nitpicking on M. Night Shyamalan for releasing one box-office bomb after another. This gem suffered a great deal from that “losing streak” and got a bad rap. Watching this great UFO horror makes more sense than it did 15 years ago and the creepiness still holds up to this day.
This old gem from the early 2000s was unfairly reviewed by some critics weren’t really fans of the genre. This movie is a perfect, vacation-gone-wrong movie with added elements of mysticism, horror, and extra-terrestrials. People who loved it back then will agree that it is one of the best movies of the genre. Unfortunately, it was judged by parts that don’t really make or break the fun factor that comes with watching the movie in its entirety.
